In 1980, the Supreme Court overturned millennia of legal precedents allowing corporations to patent seeds. The project explores the resulting juxtaposition of natural and corporate boundaries. The project embraces extreme subsidence on the site that is caused precipitous drops in water table. This proposal for a research and storage facility embeds itself within the bedrock making the structure immune to subsidence. As time passes and land subsides, more of the structures are revealed.
